It wouldn't be completely accurate to say that, for most of her life, Naoto pretended to be a guy – it wasn't pretending so much as her not going out of her way to correct people when they assumed. Nowadays, she doesn't try to hide her femininity as much, but she doesn't draw attention to it, either.]
